In Years 12 and 13:
AS and A-Level Economics
The year 12 AS course involves studying the economic theory of markets and the government’s management of the whole economy. It is assessed by three exams.
The year 13 A2 course looks in more detail at the functioning of markets, the problems of the developing world and issues affecting the modern UK economy in a global context. It, too, is assessed by three exams.
AS and A-Level Applied Business
This new course can be equivalent in UCAS point terms to either one or two sixth form subjects, depending on how many units you complete. It covers all aspects of modern business from human resources to international marketing and is assessed by a combination of exams and coursework.

Extra curricular activities
The department regularly organises trips and extra curricular courses ranging from day visits to local firms, lectures at City law firms to tours around institutions like the Stock Exchange
