Year 7 Drama
Year 7 Drama
Every Year 7 class has one Drama lesson every two weeks in English time. The lessons are taught by Mr Pratt (Head of Drama) with the English teachers.
Year 7 Drama in PSHE
The Head of Drama works with all the Year 7 classes in Personal Health and Social Education time (Thursday afternoons). We usually use the sessions to do Circle Time and talk about some of the issues that are important at different times of the year. We use the sessions to talk about how to be a good student, attitudes and ambitions. Some times, we need to address problems such as bullying if the tutors and Head of Year feel it is necessary. More information about Circle Time will be available shortly.
Year 7 Drama Club
Year 7 Drama Club is on Wednesdays, straight after school in the hall. We are working on an improvised piece of Drama.
It develops from week to week.
Pupil Comment
My name is Mal and I’m in 7RDA. I’m here to tell you about Year 7 Drama Club. It’s great and you should come. We’re making up a play. Every week we make up a new part of it and it’s all based on our ideas.
The story so far:
A noble hero is sent on a mission to find a missing prince. On the way he encounters all sorts of dangers in the forest of doom, the frozen east and the hills of the north.
When he finally gets to his destination, everything is not as it seems…
Keep checking here to track our progress!
There will be a performance in February.
We have arranged for every Year 7 class to have one Drama lesson every two weeks in English time. The lessons are taught by Mr Pratt (Head of Drama) with the English teachers.
