Drama and Theatre Studies A Level is taught at WES as part of La Swap (see the link at the top of the page).

 

You do not have to have GCSE Drama if you want to do A level, but it is important to have an interest in drama and performance. Because the course requires you to work a lot with texts, it is important to have a good grade at English Literature GCSE (normally we would expect you to have at least grade B). You must also be prepared to perform and to participate in practical workshops.

 

The course is divided into six Units:

 

Unit 1 – Exploration: you study two plays in detail.
