The Department is made up of ten teachers supported by three full-time technicians. We are highly committed subject specialists who are proud of our achievements at William Ellis.
Pasteur, Louis (1822–1892) b. Dôle, France
"Science knows no country, because knowledge belongs to humanity, and is the torch which illuminates the world. Science is the highest personification of the nation because that nation will remain the first which carries the furthest the works of thought and intelligence."
We have high expectations of students' achievement and behaviour.
We are proud of our exam success at all Key Stages. We achieved 78% level 5 and above this year at KS3, a new record, and at KS4 the GCSE pass rate was 70% for the academic year 2005/6.
We run trips in and around London and use the Mill for study sessions.
