School Uniform

We want boys to come to school looking clean and presentable, equipped and ready to learn. We ask parents to support the School in seeing that dress requirements are met and that extremes of fashion are avoided. Jewellery, rings and earrings are not allowed. Please put your son's name in each item so it can be returned when mislaid. The school has nominated DIFFERENT CLASS as a direct supplier in order to pass on to parents the appreciable savings.

BLAZER
Blazers are Royal Blue for boys in the first three years (Years 7, 8 and 9), and Black for the fourth and fifth years (Years 10 and 11). The School 'Oak Tree' crest must be on the breast pocket. The blue blazer can be ordered only through the school from Different Class. Order forms are kept in the school office for replacement orders.

TROUSERS

Grey or black and of conventional design and material (flannel, worsted, terylene). Cord or denim jeans are not acceptable.

SHIRT AND TIE
A standard shirt with collar, not 'polo' or tee-shirts. They may be white, light blue or grey. Ties must be in School colours, with royal blue background for Lower School (Years 7 to 9) and black background for Middle School (Years 10 and 11). They are available from the school office.

FOOTWEAR
These must be black and of plain design, with no trimmings or coloured laces. Boots are not permitted. Socks must be in plain, dark colours.

COATS
We recommend a weatherproof coat or anorak. Outside coats may not be worn in School. Leather or denim jackets are not acceptable.

BAGS
A good bag is essential and must be suitable for carrying books securely and without damage.

PE KIT
Blue or white shorts, gym vest, trainers and towel are required for Physical Education lessons. These can be ordered from Different Class at the same time as the blazer.

THE SWAP SHOP
A 'Swap Shop' service is operated by a parent. Outgrown School clothing (blazers, sports kit, etc.) in good condition may be purchased at reasonable cost. This service operates during term-time only. A contact telephone number may be obtained from the school office.

EQUIPMENT
As well as pens, pencils and rulers, boys need a basic calculator and a pocket dictionary. They will be given a computer disc and necessary books. Every boy is allocated a locker, and a returnable deposit is required for the key.
