Police Event at WES

On 1st February, Police Officers, Staff from Camden Community Safety and National Mobile Phone Crime Task Force, came to William Ellis School in Highgate, to publicise www.immobilise.com.

Over 250 boys from the school came forward with mobile phones and iPods to have them registered. Each will have their own personal account held on the Web, which they must now keep up to date. Using this Web tool, Police can tell instantly if an item coming to notice is in the owners’ rightful hands.
.
The team will visit each of Camden’s Secondary Schools. Gifts and prizes are given out to help to draw attention to the scheme. The picture shows a William Ellis boy, Shanoor ZAMAN, Year 7, (right) the lucky winner, being presented with an Apple iPod by Angela Grzywacz, Head of Camden Community Safety, along with Detective Inspector Adrian Lewis and PC Garry Dwyer, of Camden Police.
