School Fundraising
On Thursday 22nd March, Jimmy and Tim from William Ellis School tied one of each others legs to the other for the whole of their school day for charity. They will then send the money to Comic Relief. They have asked friends, teachers, neighbours and family to sponsor them.I then asked them some questions:
‘Why did you think of this idea to raise money?’
‘It just came to me.’ Tim told me.
‘Do you think that you will raise a lot of money?’
‘At the moment we have worked out that we have over £160 but we were not expecting that much!’ Jimmy said.
‘What charity will you send the money too?’
‘We are making the money for Comic Relief.’ Jimmy told me.
‘Do you think other people think what you are doing is good?’
‘Yes, a lot of people have sponsored us,’ replied Jimmy.
‘Did you get the idea off someone else?’ I asked Tim.
‘No, but we have heard that some other kids did something similar.’
‘Do you think it is fun doing what you are doing?’
‘Yes, but it will be hard,’ Tim answered.
They are hoping that more people will sponsor them whilst they are going around the school and are also hoping that they will at least raise £200.
Editors Note – Jimmy and Tim have managed to reach their target of £200 for Comic Relief, and are currently circulating among staff and students to claim back their sponsorship money. Well done boys!
